Feline Ultrasound

Feline Ultrasound

Ultrasound is a safe, non-invasive diagnostic tool that allows us to visualize the internal organs such as the liver, spleen, kidneys, and lymph nodes. We utilize ultrasound to diagnose a variety of conditions to provide a better view of the internal organs. Ultrasound is noninvasive and does not require any form of sedation. With ultrasound, we can quickly locate and locate tumors, cysts, stones, inflammation, and other problems within the internal system. Ultrasound can also be used to visualize the heartbeats of puppies or kittens during pregnancy to ensure proper development.

How Does Ultrasound Work?

Ultrasound imaging comes from high frequency sound waves aimed at a certain area of the body. As the sound waves travel into the body they return three dimensional images of the internal organs in real time, allowing for depth dimension of the organ and good visualization of the entire organ.
